What is Rhinoplasty Without Breaking?

Nose rasping is one of the modern techniques used especially in arched rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty without breaking offers patients the opportunity to have a more effortless rhinoplasty compared to traditional surgical techniques. Nose rasping or nose rasping aesthetics means shaving the nasal arch by surgical methods. Correction with a rasp is the process of correcting the protruding or superfluous part of the back of the nose by rasping, in the same way as the word rasping, which has meanings such as correcting sharp points, thinning.

The nasal bone is a monolithic and thin bone that can be likened to the roof of a building in the shape of the inverted letter V. Almost all of the nose files applied have an arched appearance due to excessive protrusion in the nasal bone. With nasal rasp surgery, a protrusion similar to an arch on the nasal bone or curvatures of the nasal bone are corrected by precision rasping with special tools resembling a pen.

Advantages of the rasping technique

The nose rasping technique can be performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the type of procedure that needs to be performed on the nose. Nose rasping aesthetics is not a technique that can be applied to every nose problem. Only for the nose rasping procedure to be performed, the arch must be less than the thickness of the nasal bone. After the rasping procedure, there should be no delicacy or openness that will cause a depression in the nasal bone. Because in this case, problems such as roof deformity on the nasal bone may occur. In such cases, it is necessary to compress the nasal bones and unite the upper part.

The application of tampons and bandages in nose surgeries is no longer preferred by many surgeons. Instead, nasal splints that help breathing and supportive bandages above the nose can be used. However, since the nasal bone is not broken during the nose rasping operation, there is no need to use a nasal splint. A nasal bandage can be used to support bone tissue.

The healing process

In nose rasping aesthetics, as in classical rhinoplasty surgery, the risk of bruising under the face and eyes is very low, since the fracture process is not performed on the nasal bone. In addition to simple painkillers, if a procedure has been performed inside the nose, the use of ocean water sprays and nasal moisturizing products allows the healing process to pass more comfortably. In such cases, applying a cold compress on the nose, taking care to keep the head high, performing the applications recommended by your surgeon one-on-one will help you reduce or prevent possible swelling and bruising after rhinoplasty surgery.

Stay with love.
