ABOUT FEMALE FUE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION IN TURKEY

FUE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION PROCEDURE
.
For the FUE female hair transplantation in Turkey hospitals is known as Follicular Unit Extraction. The FUE method is a new method of hair transplantation which follicular units are removed individually from the donor site, so this means that the follicles will remain in the same state and grow normally in the recipient site.

For FUT female hair transplant in Turkey is known as Follicular Unit Transplantation. The FUT method is which a strip of scalp is cut and removed from the back of the head and dissected into tiny grafts.

FUE (FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION) PROCEDURE

The patient’s hair will be trimmed short so the surgeon is able to visualize and work optimally on the scalp and on each donor follicle. The surgeon will start the hair transplant FUE by giving the patient local anesthesia to numb the area, and then using an automated FUE system device, the surgeon will remove follicular units individually from the scalp. The device will make a tiny  circular incision around the follicular unit to isolate the graft. The scalp is prepared with high-powered stereomicroscopes. Follicular units are arranged into groups depending on the number of hairs contained within the follicle. The follicles are then placed onto the bald areas carefully.

BEFORE FUE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION SURGERY

• Patients must have a shower and wash the hair before the transplantation.

• Smoking must be quitted 24 hours before the transplantation.

• Alcohol must be avoided from 3 days before the transplantation.
  .
  
• Patients must stop taking medication, herbal supplements and vitamins a week before the surgery.
  .
  
• Patients must wear loose clothing like shirts which don’t pull over the hair.

AFTER FUE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION SURGERY

• Patients must avoid touching the grafts as they may fall out of their incisions.

• Patients must sleep with their head elevated.
  .
  
• Patients must use medication and growth spray prescribed by the surgeon correctly and on time.
  .
  
• Shampoo can be used 48 hours after the transplantation.
  .
  
• Sexual intercourse must be avoided for a week after the transplantation.
  .
  
• Patients must not bend or lean forward and avoid blowing their nose too strongly until a week after the transplantation.

• Patients may need to wear a dressing over the head for a few days
  .
  
• New hair will start to grow after 3 months from the transplantation.

RISKS OF FUE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION SURGERY

There are some possible complications that can occur just like every transplantation, such as;

• Swelling.

DEFINITION OF FUE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION

FUE Method – Follicular Unit Extraction. The FUE method is a new method of hair transplantation  which follicular units are removed individually from the donor site, so this means that the follicles will remain in the same state and grow normally in the recipient site

Follicle – the skin organ that produces hair.

Donor site – the area which an organ or tissue is removed for transplantation or grafting.

Sutures – also called stitches, used to hold the tissues together.

Staples – surgical staples used instead of sutures to close wounds

FUT Method – Follicular Unit Transplantation. The FUT method is which a strip of scalp is cut and removed from the back of the head and dissected into tiny grafts.

Local Anesthesia – induces absence of sensation to a specific part of the body.

Graft – living tissue, which is transplanted.

FIRST DAY
.
The patients will attend a consultation with the surgeon and will be advised about the procedure and their condition. The patient will then be taken through a couple of tests that are required before the transplantation. If desired, patients can spend the day to rest and attend the clinic the next day.

Hair transplantation using FUE method will be performed. Hair transplant FUE is usually done with local anesthetic. The transplantation will take around 8 hours to perform depending on the extent of transplantation.  Once the transplantation is over the patient will be taken to a private room where they will be staying in the clinic for resting. The surgeon will perform a check up and if they are approved to be in a good, healthy condition and the transplantation results are all successful; the patients are advised with post treatment care requirements and are ready to be discharged from the clinic to their settlements

SECOND DAY
.
The patient must take care of the transplanted area and use any medication prescribed correctly and on time. The patient may take the day to rest or explore the city Ankara, Antalya and Istanbul.

THIRD DAY
.
Patients will attend a post transplantation appointment for a final check up, washing of the transplanted area and consultation. The patient will be advised on further medication. If everything is right then the patient is ready to return to their destination, or enjoy their time in Turkey.
