ABOUT LABIAPLASTY IN TURKEY
For the labiaplasty surgery in Turkey hospitals apart from improving the person appearance, Labiaplasty is usually done on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia and takes 1-2 hours. During the Labiaplasty surgery, large or uneven vaginal lips are cut and shortened using a combination of scalpel, specialized scissors or laser. Patients can also have hoodectomy (reducing size and area of the clitoral hood) done at the same time. The placement of incisions depends on the texture, size and contours of the labia and once the labia are contoured the incisions are closed using dissolvable sutures.

SUITABLE PATIENTS FOR LABIAPLASTY
Labiaplasty surgery can only be performed on women in a good health condition who are over the age of 18. Patients with uneven vaginal lips or large lips are the best candidates for the surgery and also patients who have any from the below are ideal candidates for the surgery;
- Pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse.
- Discomfort wearing certain clothes.
- Discomfort doing certain physical activities.
Patients should not consider a Labiaplasty if they are;
- Pregnant.
- Have complications from an episiotomy.
- Have sexually transmitted diseases.
- Not in a good health condition.

BEFORE LABIAPLASTY
- Patients must wash and shave the area before the procedure.
- The use of medication and herbal supplements must be stopped few days before the surgery.
- Patients must quit smoking a week before the surgery.

AFTER LABIAPLASTY
- Bathing – incision area must be kept clean and dry, soaps and cream must be avoided.
- Clothing – loose clothing must be worn for at least 2 days after the surgery.
- Sexual intercourse must be avoided for 4-6 weeks after the surgery.
- Ice packs can be used to reduce swelling and pain.

RISK OF LABIAPLASTY SURGERY
Just like every basic surgery there is slight risk of complication to occur as;
- Bleeding.
- Infection – very rare to occur.
- Asymmetry.

DEFINITION OF LABIAPLASTY
Incision – surgical cut made in the skin during surgery or treatment.
Local anesthesia – induces absence of sensation to a specific part of the body.
Self dissolving stitches – stitches which are eventually absorbed by the body and no need for removal.

FIRST DAY
Patients will attend consultation with the Turkey labiaplasty doctor in Antalya and Istanbul hospitals and will be advised about the procedure and their condition. The patient will be taken through couple of tests that are required before the surgery. If desired, patients can spend the day to rest and attend the hospital the next day.

SECOND DAY
Labiaplasty surgery will be performed using local anesthesia depending on the type of surgery. The surgery will take between 1-2 hours to perform depending on the extent of surgery. Once the surgery is over the patient will be taken to private room where they will be staying for resting. The surgeon will perform a check up and if they are approved to be in a good, healthy condition and the surgery results are all successful; the patients are advised with post treatment care requirements and are ready to be discharged from hospital to their settlements.

THIRD DAY
Patients are advised to continue resting at their settlements and attend post surgery appointment. Patients are able to go on little tours around the city if they are feeling better and carry on taking their medications correctly. During surgery dissolvable sutures are used so there is no need for the removal of stitches. Patients will be advised on further medication. If everything is right then the patient is ready to return to their destination.

Dr. As of August 2016, Alper Demirbaş has performed 4900 kidney transplants, 500 liver transplants and 95 pancreas transplants.
In addition to being the chairman of 6 national congresses, he has also been an invited speaker at 12 international and 65 national scientific congresses. Dr. Alper Demirbaş was married and the father of 1 girl and 1 boy.
