ABOUT JAW AUGMENTATION IN TURKEY

.
JAW AUGMENTATION KNOWN AS ORTHOGNATHIC SURGERY, AIMS TO ENHANCE APPEARANCE OF THE JAW. THIS MEDICAL PROCEDURE INVOLVES USING BOTH SYNTHETIC AND BIOLOGICAL IMPLANTS TO MAKE JAWS MORE PROMINENT. BY CREATING A GREATER SENSE OF BALANCE IN THE FACE AND DEFINING THE JAWLINE, JAW AUGMENTATION CAN SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVE FACIAL AESTHETICS. PATIENTS OFTEN COMBINE JAW IMPLANTS WITH PROCEDURES SUCH AS CHIN AUGMENTATION, CHEEK AUGMENTATION, RHINOPLASTY FOR COMPREHENSIVE FACIAL ENHANCEMENT.
.

.
JAW AUGMENTATION PROCEDURE
.
For the jaw augmentation in Turkey takes from 1-2 hours but if there are other surgeries done together with the jaw augmentation the duration can extend. The surgery is done with local anesthesia or an oral sedative. The incisions are usually made on the lower lip on either side. At the same time, the patient will be scrubbed with antimicrobial agent to reduce the risk of infection. The surgeon will follow the pre-marked incision line.

Depending on the type of procedure the surgery may involve removing the skin and the muscle from the skull, and removing excess skin or fat and placing implants in an ideal location. The implant can be either screwed or sutured into place. If screws are not used then the patient will have to wear a head wrap designed to keep the implant in a place until the surrounding collagen secures the implant. The incisions will be closed by applying tissue glue or using sutures and staples. Finally, a dressing is applied to protect the wounds, keep the tissue securely in place and reduce swelling.

.
SUITABLE PATIENTS FOR JAW AUGMENTATION
.
Both men and women are suitable to have a jaw augmentation surgery. Patients who would like to enhance the contours of their facial features by altering the shape of their jaws can have jaw augmentation surgery. The surgery is also suitable for patients with;
