Facial Rejuvenation Methods

Facial skin, subcutaneous adipose tissue, mimic muscles, fat pads, ligaments connecting the facial skin to deep tissues and bone tissue in each of muscle, genetics and gravity, smoking, alcohol, makeup, irregular life, diseases, etc. there are many changes in the direction of aging due to the influence of environmental factors.

The first signs of aging on the face manifest themselves as an increase in wrinkles around the eyes, between the eyebrows and on the forehead, decaying of the eyebrow edges and deepening of the grooves extending from the nose to the corners of the mouth. At this stage, it is possible to effectively eliminate the first signs of aging with non-surgical methods such as botox application to the forehead and eye circles and filling procedure to the deep grooves. In addition, some procedures, such as chemical peeling, laser applications or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, help the facial skin to achieve a brighter, firmer and healthier appearance.

In the following years, relaxation of the forehead skin in the upper part of the face, falling on the eyebrows and bagging on the eyelids become noticeable; the face begins to look older and tired. At this stage, forehead lifting, eyebrow lifting and eyelid plastic surgeries reverse the aging process in the upper part of the face.

As a result of the relaxation of the skin on the cheekbones and cheeks in the middle part of the face and the downward displacement of subcutaneous fat pads, the plump appearance of the cheekbones disappears, dimpling in the detentions, sagging on the cheeks, deepening of the grooves on the sides of the mouth are observed. Thinning and sagging of the lips are observed. Sagging and bagging on both sides of the chin in the lower part of the face causes the oval structure of the face to deteriorate and get an aged appearance. In the same way, fat deposits, sagging and deep wrinkles on the tickle and neck part complete the elderly face picture.

The most effective method for correcting the signs of aging in the middle and lower parts of the face is face and neck lifting surgery.

The Ideal Period For Face Lift Surgeries

Changes in the face rather than age are decisive in making the decision of face lift surgery. If the signs of aging that we mentioned above have become obvious, the person has started to feel uncomfortable with his appearance in the mirror and in his photos, it means that it’s time for surgery. There is no need to wait for the 60s for surgery; the ideal period is the middle age between the ages of 40-60.

The Advantages of Face Lift Surgery in Middle Age

Before the sagging on the face reaches a very advanced level, there are many advantages, both medical and social, of having a face lift surgery at an earlier stage:

* Because the person is younger and healthier, it is easier to undergo the operation and the post-operation process.

* Because the sagging on the face is more limited, it can be removed with the mini facelift technique, which “leaves less marks” and “lasts shorter”.

* During surgery, the skin is removed in a more limited area and the procedure is performed, which means less risk of complications.

* The swelling and bruises that occur after surgery are very limited, the recovery period is shorter than the classic face lift.

* Because the age is younger, wound healing and recovery become easier.

* The rejuvenation obtained in facial appearance after surgery is met more naturally by environment.

* Those who have had a face lift at an earlier age experience the comfort of having a younger and more dynamic facial appearance in their work and social lives, where they are still active.

Face Lift with MACS Lift Technique

The MACS lift method, consisting of the words Minimal Access Cranial Suspension, is the process of hanging the soft tissues of the face that have been displaced downwards with the help of stitches, after a limited amount of skin has been removed by entering through shorter incisions.

* This technique is usually preferred in middle-aged patients where there is no excessive sagging and relaxation of the skin of the face and neck.

* A 5-7 cm incision is made starting from the front of the earlobe, hiding inside the ear and extending to the scalp above, and the cheek skin is removed in an area of about 5 cm.

* In the early postoperative period, this incision can be easily hidden with a hairstyle. In the late period, most of the scars do not attract attention because they remain inside the ears and inside the hair.

* In a limited area and only because the facial skin is removed, the facial nerves that are in a deeper plan are never encountered, so the risk of damaging the facial nerves is very low.

* Fat pads and soft tissues of the face that have been displaced downwards under the skin and are sagging are brought up to the place where they should be with the help of stitches and are detected there.

* The removed facial skin is tilted to the side as in the classic methods and very little skin is removed and therefore more natural results are obtained.

* Fats in the tickle and neck area in the same senasta are removed with liposuction. Thanks to the vine stitches, the moderate sagging of the neck skin is also removed and the neck gains a younger appearance.

* Thanks to the ”MACS lift” technique, the sagging on the cheekbones of the face improves, the grooves on the side of the nose lighten, the sagging on the cheek and lower jaw are removed, and the neck also rejuvenates.

* The operation, which lasts an average of 2.5 hours, is also combined with procedures such as eyebrow lifting, eye bag removal, facial fat injection under local anesthesia and general anesthesia.
