Nose Curvature Surgery
The septum, consisting of bone and cartilage, is the name given to the structure located between the nostrils and decoupling the nasal cavity in two.
Deformities in the septum are one of the most common causes of nasal congestion.
We define this curvature in the septum, which normally has a straight and thin structure, as a deviation. This curvature makes breathing in the nose difficult or even impossible. In advanced curvatures, the septum, which also causes deformity at the same time, is corrected by a surgery called septoplasty.
As we have always mentioned, it is a whole for your nose and outside, and it must be handled. Before these correction surgeries are performed, it is necessary to make a correct planning by taking into account the aesthetic concerns of the patient. If an aesthetic operation is needed again after this operation, the second operation will now be called revision rhinoplasty and the procedure will become more complicated.
With the deviation operation performed under general anesthesia, the septum is brought into the shape it should be and the symmetry of the nostrils is ensured as much as possible.
