What is a Hair Transplant with a Pencil?

Pen (Choi Implanter) technique, also called DHI (direct hair implantation) or Stick and place (hole and place), a technique that has been used for a long time, I am often asked by my patients if it is true that my teacher performs hair Transplant more often with this technique, it causes less damage. In this technique, the grafts are placed from the tip into a thin pipe inside a pen-like tool, not by hand, and after the skin is pierced with a sharp tubular tip, the graft inserted into this pipe is pushed by pressing the back of the pen towards the canal, inserted. I think the harms of this technique are as follows: since hair Transplant is performed randomly and without planning, some places may be frequent, some areas may remain sparse; many elements are needed to always have the pen ready, and this disrupts hygiene at the operation site, bringing chaos. With this technique or any other technique, hair Transplant cannot be performed more often than necessary, it should not be done because dealing with it and opening channels in the skin too often disrupts skin blood supply and can disrupt skin structure.

Organic hair transplantation (with oil injection) technique, DHI Hair Transplantation (Direct Hair Implant), Percutaneous hair transplantation, Golden Hair Transplantation, micro FUE, IceGraft, sapphire tipped hair transplantation, etc. The techniques on social media such as techniques are just word salads used to dye people’s eyes and mislead them. There are only 2 accepted techniques in the world, and all of these nonsense, made-up techniques are FUE techniques themselves.

Percutaneous hair Transplant, golden tip hair transplant, Ice graft etc. etc. these are all FUE techniques and are not different or superior techniques from each other. Only different names are used that try to highlight the product commercially. What makes a hair Transplant superior to others is that the plastic surgeon removes the hair follicles without damaging them, grafts are transplanted in the most serial way, frequently and in accordance with the natural hair output. When the name of the technique changes, the result does not change.
