AESTHETIC TEETH MADE IN TURKEY

A doctor who describes the latest developments in dentistry “Our goal is not to make a standard Smile Design for everyone, but to get a personalized natural-looking result,” said.

– The per capita rates of toothbrushes and toothpaste found in research do not seem very pleasant. What is the situation in Turkey oral and dental health?

Unfortunately, we’re not in very good shape. The incidence of caries is very high in our country. Although this issue usually seems to be solved by trying to bring education and brushing habits to children from an early age, preventive dentistry practices should enter our lives as a health policy. Six-month routine checks, fluorine applications, preventive treatments that protect children’s teeth from caries, such as Fissure coverings, allow you to prevent oral and dental problems before they occur.

– With discoveries and scientific studies, the field of Medicine is also developing. We recently became acquainted with the field of digital dentistry in Turkey. Can you tell us a little bit about this area?

Advances in artificial intelligence have also found its use in dental practice. CAD/ CAM (Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing) Technology is one of them. Without need for traditional measurement methods, digital measurement obtained with special oral scanners can be delivered to the laboratory in seconds and diagnosis and treatment planning can be done extremely quickly with special design programs. Thanks to digital applications, our patients also get rid of the measurement stage, which is a very comfortable application.

– Does digital dentistry reduce the margin of error in practice?

Digital dentistry practices can be discussed in two stages in general. One of them is the measurement stage and the other is the production stage of the restoration. Research has shown that measurements taken digitally with intra-mouth scanners have as much clarity as measurements taken with traditional methods. At this stage, intra-oral scanners are advantageous because the patient does not come into contact with the measuring substance and the procedure is extremely fast. The other stage is the production stage of the restoration. In digital applications, the restoration can be designed in three dimensions and the finished state of the prosthesis can be shared with our patients at the beginning of the procedures. Due to the fact that the technique is extremely sensitive, the margin of error is significantly reduced.

– Digital dentistry brought with it a smile design. What is it that you set out in Smile Design, How is Smile Design done?

Smile Design in Antalya Turkey, pink aesthetic (gum appearance) and white aesthetic (teeth) criteria are considered as a whole with the gender, facial structure and character of the patient and a harmonic smile is revealed. Pre-design planning is very important in this practice. First, a detailed history and intra-oral and non-oral photos, function and phonation records are taken from the patient. After that, a digital design is made through these records and Silicon indexes are prepared, which we call mock up, showing the finished state of the restoration. Without any treatment in Turkey on the foreigner patient’s teeth, this silicone index is transferred to the patient mouth with special restoration materials. In this way, the patient can see the finished design in his mouth and spend some time with this temporary prosthesis. Conclusion in the construction of restorations, one or combination of lamina or full Crown in Turkey dentist applications can be applied according to the requirements of the case.
